For your convenience, we’ve compiled a list of websites and books with loads of useful information about the development, deployment, and functionality of solar and wind powered renewable energy systems. Most of these links are geared toward the consumer, but many of them have additional links for the more technically-oriented and intellectually adventurous!
You can learn more about how governmental agencies and cooperative industry associations are working together to foster greater investment in renewable energy production. Financial incentives for renewable energy investments can be found here, too!
We’ve also included some sites that explore the issue of global climate change, and the environmental impacts of energy production. We encourage you to check out these sites; calculate your carbon dioxide contribution, and review what you can do to be part of the solution – including investing in a Wise Power System of your own!

A FEW BOOKS WE RECOMMEND
Power With Nature 2nd edition: Alternative Energy Solutions for Homeowners, by Rex A. Ewing (2006, PixyJack Press, LLC, Masonville, CO). This is a great introduction to small renewable energy systems.
Got Sun? Go Solar: Get Free Renewable Energy to Power Your Grid-Tied Home, by Rex A. Ewing and Doug Pratt, (2005, PixyJack Press, LLC, Masonville, CO). This book also covers the topic of small wind farms.
Wind Energy Basics: A Guide to Small and Micro Wind Systems, by Paul Gipe, (1999, Chelsea Green Publishing Company). This book is quite accessible – written with the layperson in mind.
Climate Change Begins at Home: Life on the Two-Way Street of Global Warming, by Dave Reay, (2006, Macmillan; New Ed edition). This is an excellent book about what we, as individuals, can do about the problem of global warming.
